Scientific Working Group (SWG)
Biodefense Proteomics Research Centers
Fourth Programmatic Meeting
Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown
Salt Lake City, Utah
May 31, 2007
The NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) Biodefense Proteomics Research Program provides the scientific community with newly discovered proteomic information about pathogens and hosts to identify potential targets for the next generation of vaccines, therapeutics and diagnostics. New research and novel proteomic approaches are being developed at the Proteomics Research Centers, and data and reagents are being publicly disseminated through the Resource Center at http://www.proteomicsresource.org/.
SWG Charge
The committee shall provide advice to the Centers on all aspects of the operations and future directions of the Proteomics Research Program sites, including policies and practices for data, reagent, and technology sharing among the sites and with the broader research community. These recommendations shall be based on the state of proteomics technological and research advances, including those contributed by the Proteomics Research Program sites.
